As it happens, just a fortnight later we were camping in Bridport and decided to take in a round with our camping companions\u2019 canine, Jeannie, to have to test it out.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#008000\"><i>Walk<\/i> \u2013 The walk is most flat with no trees to disrupt your view or your shots. Until you get to Hole 6 where the course plummets (with a fun par 3 that just sails down like some Tik Tok trick shot).<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#008000\"><i>Wildlife<\/i> \u2013 Naturally the seaside course is dominated by seabirds. We are especially fortunately that a rare Northern Wheatear hopped along the ground on hole 5.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#008000\"><i>Water<\/i> \u2013 With a hat tip to Coleridge, there is all the water on one side of the course, but not much else atop these sea side cliffs (drinkable or otherwise). The course does circle back to the clubhouse on the 10<sup>th<\/sup> as an opportunity to get a quick lap of water.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#008000\"><i>Wind Down<\/i> \u2013 The course had a superb clubhouse restaurant (one of the best bacon butties I\u2019ve had on a course), but dogs were not allowed inside (there is a lovely deck area looking over the sea), so we decided to try the nearby <\/font><a href=\"https:\/\/westbayhotel.co.uk\/\"><font color=\"#008000\">West Bay Hotel<\/font><\/a><font color=\"#008000\"> which Jeannie\u2019s persons, Sue and John, thought was the best pub food in West Bay and it was a delicious lunch with the very tasty local brew, Palmers.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/doggolf.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Bridport-and-West-Dorset.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"440\" height=\"455\" title=\"Bridport and West Dorset\" style=\"display: inline; background-image: none;\" alt=\"Bridport and West Dorset\" src=\"http:\/\/doggolf.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Bridport-and-West-Dorset_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/doggolf.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Bridport-and-West-Dorset-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"440\" height=\"275\" title=\"Bridport and West Dorset 3\" style=\"display: inline; background-image: none;\" alt=\"Bridport and West Dorset 3\" src=\"http:\/\/doggolf.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Bridport-and-West-Dorset-3_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/doggolf.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Bridport-and-West-Dorset-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"440\" height=\"229\" title=\"Bridport and West Dorset 2\" style=\"display: inline; background-image: none;\" alt=\"Bridport and West Dorset 2\" src=\"http:\/\/doggolf.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Bridport-and-West-Dorset-2_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\"><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome \u2013 Bridport and West Dorset was so welcoming to Dog Golf that they actually reached out to us to be added to the dog golf database.
